  1. General Palmer Brabazon was the landlord of this district. He was an absentee. John Rogers and Hugh Devine were the bailiffs. Brabazon was a very cruel; he gave permission to those men to evict people and this they did. In this district James McLoughlin, Ellen MacAllister, Anne Murtagh and Andrew Drudy were among those who were evicted. All of them regained their lands and houses except Drudy. The other three received back their property by means of a settlement with the landlord.
