  1. Belisker is the name of the village I live in. Bekan is the name of the parish. There are 9 houses in my village. There are 2 slated houses and 5 thatched ones. There is no ruins of houses in the village. Belisker is called that name because there are many sand hills in it.
    There are only tow people in the village over 70 years. Their names are:- Mary Lyons and Patrick Duffy, both of Belisker, Briskens, Claremorre
