  1. There are a great many animals around this district. Their names are the rat, the rabbit, the hare, the squirrel, the mole, the fix, the badger, the weasel, the otter, the hedge hog.
    The fox is the cleverest of all the animals. He steals all kinds of fowl. He steals geese, ducks, and hens. The fox makes his nest in a furze fence. They stay in the den during the day and they come out at night.
    People say there is a cure in a fox's tongue for a sore.
