  1. Long ago in Ireland the smiths were ranked next to the chief because he was the only one who could make things out of gold and iron.
    There are three forges in the parish, Mullans, Tiges and Mac Donalds. None of these were smiths for many years except Tiges' father was a smith. Mullans forge is situated in Cloonbulliban, Tiges in Lissaniskea and Mac Donalds in Logboy. The forge is a small thached building with a fire place at one end and all the tools near it. Near that
