  1. During the year I play various games. In Summer I go fishing, cycling, and sometimes bathing. In the evenings I play handball, pitching rings and money, throwing weights, "tick" and jumping. Winter is the best part of the year for games.
    During the day, if there is snow I make a snowman and have snow-fights. When the frost is thick I have a good slide. In the long nights I play cards, draughts, hide the thimble, blindmans buff, and giving out the ring.
    The way we pitch rings is: to put two pieces of iron or hard wood in the ground about thirteen feet apart and two boys to stand at each end. the
