  1. Long ago there were great land owners in Ireland called Landlords they were hard cruel people and they divided their among the tenants and put very heavy rent on it. If some of the people could not allord to pay it they were driven out of their homes and compelled to get food and shelter from their friends through through the country.
    There was a Landlord in our district called John Birmingham he never evicted any of his tenants but he always gave them a chance.
    He was walking through his land one day with one of his tenants and at last they came to a large sandpit.
    The Landlord rose up a large stone immediately the sandpit
