    Once upon a time there lived a little girl and her mother and they lived ip in a high glen. When her birthday came her mother said that she might have a party. There were so no other children could come. Eileen asked the animals to come instead. The animals were eager to make a good show so they went to where Eileens mother had hung out the washing to dry and borrowed some clothes. The cow put on a red petticoat.
