There are stories told about the robin. It is said that when Our Lord was dying the robin tried to pull a thorn out of His Head and the blood stuck to its breast and that is the reason it has a red breast. When the corn-crake is calling it says "ge", ge, corn-crake; it is, well I earn the piece I eat.
The cuckoo builds no nest, but she lays her eggs in another bird's nest and when the young cuckoos come out of the eggs they throw out the other birds of the nest.
