  1. In olden times people used to have three meals a day. They were breakfast, dinner and supper. One of them was eaten in the morning, another in the middle of the day and the last meal was eaten in the night. During the Spring season the people used to work before eating the morning meal. The people used to have potato-cakes and oaten-meal cakes for breakfast, potatoes for the dinner and stirabout for the supper.
    Potatoes were not eaten at every meal. Milk was drunk often. Butter-milk that was nearly always used. People used to sit around the table in the centre of the floor. The table was never hung up against the wall when not in use. It was never placed near
