    Once upon a time there was a widow who had only one son and he was very lazy.

    Once upon a time there was a widow who had only one son and he was very lazy. One day she told him that she could keep him no longer so he set out to seek his fortune. After a few hours walk he sat down by the side of the road to eat his dinner. He saw a swarm of bees near where he was sitting and, taking his stick, he struck with all his might and killed forty bees and the queen. He went to a blacksmith's shop and got printed on the stick, "Killed a congregation of forty and the Parson with one blow."
    He saw a bush with nuts growing on
