There was once a man whose name was "Poverty," because he was very poor. He had a small farm of land in the County Sligo and in it there were many fairies. The poor man was kind to them and gave them shelter in his cabin. One morning when he got up there was a black cow in his meadow. The man was jealous of anyone's knowing that he had her but she began to moo. He was about to kill her when the fairies came and took her away,
