  1. In olden times the women used quilting frames for making quilts at home. Now-a-days they are made in the factory. The frames were made of four wooden rails and were about eight feet square. There were holes about six inches apart on each rail, and four pegs to make the frame square to hold the quilt. There were also curtain frames made in the same way, with pins, a quarter of an inch apart on each rail to hook on the curtain wet, It dried and was pressed on the frame.
