  1. There was once a woman and the people never called her but "Máire Lairaidhe". One day a beggar man came into her house. She told the beggar man that she was very bad with toothaches. The beggar said that she would not have them long. He told her to get twelve stones and go around the house twelve times and to fire in a stone in the house each time.
    When he got Máire out he got half a score of eggs and put them down and ate them.
    When the twelve stones were gone the beggar had the eggs eaten.
