  1. There is a small lake about four miles from this school. It is supposed to be enchanted. There are a number of fishes in it like the ones in the sea. It is round and very deep.
    My grandfather and some other men went up there fishing long ago. They went to make some steps of scraws and stones a few yards out in the water. When they had it finished a fairy eel came along the water whistling. She was about twenty feet long. She had a long wide tail.
