  1. A Story of a Pot of Gold.
There was & is a pot of gold in a fort in Brownstown. The fort is about four miles from Ballinrobe. It is said that it is just in the middle of the fort. Nobody ever dug it up.
There is also a pot of gold hidden outside an old house in Brownstown. It is said that the person who is digging for the pot of gold will fist see a goose and if he cuts the head of the goose with one blow he will get the gold, but if he does not, he will be killed by the goose. Nobdy ever tried to dig it up yet.
It is supposed to be just outside Brownstown on top of a little hill.
