  1. There is a blessed well called Ballintubber. It is about eight Irish miles form my house. There was a certain time in the year when the water would change into blood. The people could only use the water for tea out of the well. One day a King's daughter came to the well with another girl. The King's daughter was blind and no sooner had she gone near the well than it sprang up and struck her and she got cured.
