  2. It is said that if a cock crows at a late hour at night it is a warning for a death in the family.
    If two funerals meet it means another death for some one of the families.
    It is not right to throw out dirty water at night for it is said that the fairies or the "good people" are outside and it is not lucky to drown them.
    When you are building a new house it is very lucky to put a donkey's shoe in the foundation.

  3. Beliefs
    Three men from this place went on a journey to Westport with their horses and carts. There were women and children with them also. In the first two carts that left, the people blessed themselves with the Holy water, but those in the third one did not.
