    1. When you get up in the morning be sure you put your right foot out of bed first
    2. If you want to have bad luck put your shoed on the table.
    3. See a pin and pick it up,
    Then all the day you'll have good luck
    See a pin and let it lay
    Then you'll live to rue [?] the day.
    4. Never give anybody a pin without getting back a penny
    5. If you get the lend of a pin stick it in wood before using it or you'll have a fight with the owner of the pin.
    6. Putting your clothes on inside out is supposed to be lucky for a lady but for a man it means a disappointment
    7. Two people looking into a mirror at one time bring bad luck, and breaking a mirror means seven years of it
