  1. A Funny Story
    Once a man lived in Tuam named Mc Donagh. He was not altogether right and this day he was praying in the Cathedral.
    There was a statue of St.John in the chapel and Mc Donogh went up to it and said "I want this favour now before next Friday, and if you don't do it it won't be good for you".
    He then went home but he did not know that there was a priest watching him in the church.
    As soon as he was gone the priest took the statue and put a small one in its place. Friday came but there was no favour got. Mc Donagh came carrying a big black - thorn stick and he was in a great rage.
    He went into the chapel but to his surprise he found the small statue instead of the big one.
