    stranger. If the tongs falls, it is also the sign of a stranger. People say that if you see one magpie you will have bad luck. Two are for good luck, three for joy, four for marriage, five for death, six for heaven, seven for hell and eight for a funeral. People used to say that if you fell in the house that you would not get married for a year. If a person fell going through a graveyard, he would die soon. If you spill salt it is a sign that you will have a fight with a person. If you give a safety pin to a person, you will have a fight with that person. If a person found a safety pin lost, and if the head of it was turned to him, it was a sign he will have good luck. If a person's right ear is hot, it is a sign that some one is talking good of him, and if his left ear is hot, someone is talking bad of him.

    It is the sign of a visitor if you see two hens fighting. Two spoons in your cup is the sign of a wedding. If there is a tea leaf in the top of your cup of tea it is the sign of a letter, if it is hard and fat, it is the sign of a cheque in the letter, and if it is small and thin, it is the sign of a love letter.
