  1. On St Bridgets day long ago, the children used to (to) dress up a big doll and go from house to house with the doll and they would get a lot of money for it. But all that is dying away. On May day the children would make a crown out of flowers, then they would put the crown on some one's head, and form a procession through the village playing a band or fiddle. they used to play the band with two wooden dolls
The play fool in the middle
    Blind mans buff
And in summer the pull daisies and makes chains
And in the winter nights the children play hidden go seek.
