  1. Once upon a time there lived a old man and a woman named Seán and Máere. One day the killed a pig and the next day Seah was going working with his neighbor and he said to mere before he went to try and see would she have a pound of meat for each head of cabage in the garden.
    After a while máere had all the meat cut into pounds and had a pound of meat for each head of cabage in the garden. She said she would leave it out until séan would come home.
    When Seán came home he asked her had she a pound for every head in the garden. She said she had and she left it out until he would see it.
    When Seán went out to see the meat he seen all the dogs go the village in the garden and all the meat eat with them.
    Seán came in then to kill Máere but he said to her I will give you another chance now, and dont never do it again.
