  2. Mr Thomas Mannion lives one mile from here. A well-to-do farmer. He has nine or ten cattle a horse and about a score of sheep. Some time ago a very unnatural thing happened. He had a cow for calfing. He was watching the cow for two or three days. At last the cow got sick for calfing. There were five or six men along with Mr Thomas Mannion. All these men could not bring the calf. They sent for Mr O’Brien the Vet.
