I When a cow is after calfing you should tie a red ribbon round her tail or put a fire under her for good luck.
II If you get a horse shoe lost on the road with a bit of a nail in it you will have good luck.
III You should not let anyone out with fire while the churning is being made or he will bring the butter with him.
IV You should never let thirteen sit down to the table together.
V When they are going to make a churning they put a few coals under the churn and turn the dash three times.
VI When you meet a funeral on the road if you do not turn with it the person that is dead will appear to you again.
VII When you meet a red haired Lady on the road you will have bad luck for the day.
VIII The first lamb you see in the year if his face is turned to you you will have good luck
