    When he had finished he got up and started on his journey but strange to say that he fell dead about 100 yards from the door. There is a little bush (white thorn) growing there for years and it bears the name “Cooke’s Busheen”. In height it is about five or 6 feet it is a miserable-looking bush and there was no other tree near it for years children were afraid to pass by it late at night. The present owner, John Dillon made a plantation beside it about 20 years ago so it is not such an object of terror to children now.
