  1. There were many industries carried out in the district long ago such as candle making soap making Seán Ó pairc was a basketmaker.
    Forge work was carried out making spades, shovels, gates fire crains, pot hangers, nails, ploughs, harrow pins, and other iron articles.
    There was a well in Kilvine where clothes were dyed they were left in the well at night and in the morning they would be the colour the owner wanted untill the clothes were stolen and they were never dyed afterwards.
    Churns, chairs, cradles, beds, and stools were made of wood.
    There were lots of like kills (burned) where people burned lime.
    Statles, straw mats, colars, suidhsrioge were made of straw
    People used fowl and hunt
