  1. Long ago the people usen't wear any shoes until they reached the age of fourteen years. There are a few old women in the parish that never wore shoes.
    At the present day it is a custom for all the children to go barefooted in Summer. The old people that the people used to put a coal in the water where they used to wash their feet before they would throw it out.
    Boots are repaired at the present day and they are made in Ballindine. There is only one shoemaker in
