    Buying and selling.
    Very few shops were common in olden times. The people used to go to the nearest town to buy and that was about four miles away. Burying and selling was [cattied] on after Mass. this is not still so.
    Goods used to be given in exchange for labour. Dealers in feathers and rags visited the district in former times. Some of them still come.
