1 It opens like a stable door,
And it shuts like a trap.
If you were guessing that for ever,
You wouldn't guess that.
Answer. an umbrella
2 I went out in the garden and brought in what I didn't want.
Answer. A thorn in my foot.
3 Under the water and over the water.
And it is never left in the water.
Answer. An egg in a duck
4 Long legs crooked thighs,
A small little head and no eyes.
Answer. A tongs.
5 I have a little house,
And a little mouse wouldn't fit in it,
And all the King's horses,
And all the King's men
Wouldn't count all the windows in it.
Answer. a thimble.
6 How far can a rabbit go in to the wood.
Answer halfway.
7 I went up the boreen,
And I met my Aunty Noreen,
With a red nose,
And with ticklesome toes.
