- (continued from previous page)sally rod. When a bird would stand on the sally rod the trigger would jump up and the cradle bird would fall down. The bird would be caught and he could not get out.
- First he would get a big button and a yard of spool thread. He would put each end of the thread in two holes of the button and he would knot the two ends of the thread. He would put one finger in each end and the button would be in the middle. He would twist it well. Then he would draw it in and out and it would make a sort of a buz.
