    they would surely see him every night. The place called "Ceallaigh Poit" was so called because there was a family living there called O'Ceallaigh and one of them was able to make poicin. One night people were minding sheep in a field near "Ceallaigh Poit" on the 21th of July and he came running into the field and scattered the sheep.
    The people who were minding the sheep cursed the dog, the words they used were "to the devil with that dog." Immediately the dog went up in the sky in a ball of fire. The dog was never seen in "Ceallaigh Poit after. It is believed that he was no relation to the 'O'Ceallaigh who llived in Ballindine and whose descendants are still living in that town.
