  2. There are a number of roads around Ballindine. There is one leading from Ballindine to Irishtown and it is made over a hundred years ago. The women used work on those roads they never wore shoes when working. The men used carry stones on their backs and break them with sledges. The pay they were getting was a shilling a week.
