    When people see sheep or goats coming down from the mountains and a hill they say that a storm is sure to come. A rainbow on a Saturday evening is a sign of a wet week. Two rainbows on a Saturday evening is a sign of a dry week. If a dog eats grass it is a sign of bad weather and a cat to sit before with his back to the fire the weather is going to change. When smoke goes staright up the chimney it is the sign of fine weather. At night when the fire is raked and if the ashes is blue it means the weather will be wet. Another sign of bad weather is to see soot falling. When people hear ducks quacking loudly they say they are calling for
