  1. The local fairs are held in the streets in the town of bluremorris. The sheep, lambs, horses, foals, and bonhoms are sold in the streets while the cattle are sold in the fair-green. The fairs are not always held in the towns. About four or five miles from here there is a place known as Doonnamone and the fairs are held there in on open field. Buyers transacted business in the country. They do this at present especially when the cattle are dear. It is a common thing to see buyers out through the country inquiring for cattle. Sometimes they offer the farmer a big price for his cattle and they spoil his sale. The farmer does not like to sell his cattle to the buyers that come out
