    spullagodan and there is another one about a quarter of a mile from Balla. About three miles from Balla on the Claremorris road there is a large stone marking the place where a man was killed in a motor accident.
    There is no account as to when those roads were made.
    There was a road across the church grounds long ago. It was the main road from Dublin. The track of it is there yet so it must be a very strong road.
