  1. On one occasion St Patrick was passing through the village of Manulla about five o'clock in the evening. As the day was very warm he asked for a drink in the first house he came to. Not being known he was refused and he went on to the castle.
    Here he put up a tent and was soon fast asleep. Before going to sleep he removed his boots and left them aside. When he awoke they were nowwhere to be found and he never got them. People believe that they were stolen by some thief while the saint was sleeping.
    St Patrick was not very pleased
