  1. There is a place in Lakeland which is called "Log an altóir". This place has its name since the penal times as Mass was often celebrated there.
    It is a hollow and is circular in shape and it also has many paths running into it from different directions. These paths are called "Mass paths".
    The hollow is almost surrounded with bushes now and there are many places in the hollow which are completely worn away. It is believed that it was there that Sean na Sagart murdered his last priest. The story says that at the time the priests were hunted, there was a large oats field bordering the hollow in which Sean hid. When
