  1. About eighty years ago there lived in Ballintubber a notorious man named John Maloney but because he was always killing priests he was nicknamed "Sean na Sagart"
    For every priests head given to him -- he gave as a reward -- five pounds to those who committed the deed. He, Himself followed every priest who forgot to disguise himself before leaving his hideout and often he would disguise in female dress and would pretend to be the priests friend - for a time only.
