    Long ago the people used to go up to the mountain and pull heather then they would boil it and wash the clothes in it and that was purple dye. To make a yellow dye they used to pick the yellow flower off the furs and boil it and wash the clothes in it. To make a brown dye they used to get moss off the banks and boil it and
