  1. In the olden times there was an old cow that was almost starved to death during the month of March. When March seen that it could not kill her, if borrowed two days from April to kill her. In-stead of dying, the third of April was fine and she got up and began to run and play. It is said that any old cow that gets over the Trí Lá na Riabhach is safe for the year.
