  1. If the new moon is on its back and the old moon on top of it it is the sign of rain. If you see the new moon out through the window you will have bad luck for the year. If you see a big ring around the moon at night it is the sign of rain and if you see a small ring it is the sign of good weather. If you see the moon going fast around the sky at night it is the sign of rain. If the weather is bad at the starting of the moon it will be bad for a fortnight.
