  1. Mrs O Dea lived in Ballyheane. She was a woman of good faith. She dreamt three nights in succession of the one thing. On the third she had a vision and in the vision she was told that there was a pot of gold sovereigns hidden under a rock in the fairgreen in Ballyheane and if she went before sunrise in the morning and brought a blackhandle knife her she would not have much difficulty in finding the gold. She was also told in the vision that she would lose one of her family if she kept the treasure when she found it.
    So next morning the woman went before sunrise to the place where the treasure was hidden. She began to dig
