  2. When I was a young lad they used to play a game in the houses with a kind of a home made top, that we used to call a "teetotallen". It is a square block with a spike at the top bottom and a handle on top for twisting. On each of the faces except the two having the spike and handle the letters "A" "N" "P" "T" were printed. We used to spin it and let on the side that would turn up. The bet that time used to be stud buttons. All the bets were put on the table and each one in turn got a spin. If "A" turned up the man that spun it would get all. If "N" turned up he'd get none. If "P" turned up he'd
