  1. There is a pot of gold hidden in Kinturk which belonged to Tiobóid Na Luinge and his mother, Grainne Ní Mháille.
Tiobóid's servant dreamt there was a pot of gold hidden near the castle under a little bush and he was told in the dream not to bring anyone with him when he was going to lift it. He was afraid to go himself and he brought the wife with him.
He started taking the covering off where he dreamt the gold was and he rose up a metal lid and some serpent opened her mouth and the wife's heart busted, and she fell dead where she was. He covered up the hole and he never went near it again and the gold is there yet.
