  1. One night there was a wake. A man in the village had died. A man was coming home from a wake by himself. He said he would take a short cut in the mountains. He heard very hard noises coming behind him. When he looked back. he could see nobody. But he always used to hear the noise. When he was not far off home. he tried to cross a ditch and he could not. He could not leave that place. People say the longest way around is the nearest way home. espectely when you are alone.
