  1. Once a man and his wife were very happy. They had plenty of money. One night the man went cardplying he brought some money with him. When he went to play cards he won tree shillings by tricking. When he was going home he met a few men who spoke very kindly to him. They asked and asked him and they got very angry. They told him they would kill him. He ran as fast as he could [?] not catch him. He got safe w[?] his money.
