  1. About 140 years ago there was a landlord living at Ballyboy[?] in County Mayo. His name was Samuel O'Malley. People say that he fought at Waterloo on the side of the English. There was a fine stout strong soldier in his army. At that time there lived in Burren a strong wise fellow named Seán Mór Ó'Máille. Every man he challenged he knocked him out. When the landlord heard about him, he sent for him. Seán went to his castle. When Seán reached the castle the landlord told him that he would have to fight
