So he was the lucky ferret after all.- Hard Work- There was an old fellow by the name of John Cullen working over in Ballyclumack with a man by the same of Mike Martin. John was a very devout, holy, build of a little man.
This day Martin says to him: "Aren't you going is the chapel Friday Johnny?" says he.
"Whats an?" Says Johny.
"This is Good Friday" says Martin.
"Oh begod I have Good Friday here every day with you" says Johnny.
Martin was a tough man to work for. The food was bad, and the pay was small, the only thing that was anyway plenty, there was work. (no title)
