    There were two fellows by the name of Bill Kenderick and Willie Magrath...

    Willie Magrath and they were going along a road about three or four oclock in the morning, and when they were passing by an old rath, Willie Mernagh saw a crowd of little small men three deep riding bycyelis. Willie Mernagh saw all these men very plainly, but Bill Kendrick couldn't see them. Some people one born to see things. This is the old people's belief, and they say it is a fact.

    One morning at Kilmore Quay when the tide was gone out the people of the locality noticed a big bawk of timber lying on the strand. It was about twenty feet long and very thick
