  1. Rounders.
    This was a great game. It isn't played nowadays. Four boys would play this game, or six. Two would play two or three would play three. A fairly large circle would be made, and one boy would stand in the centre of it, and the runner at the edge or starting point of the circle. The boy in the centre of the circle would throw the ball to the boy at the edge and he would hit it with his hand down the field where their two opponents would be. When the man who hits the ball has driven it down the field he runs around the circle as fast as he can, for if one of the boys down the field get
